You may not be aware that our humble roots started in Lincoln.
Back in 2020, the Colleague Box leadership team worked within the technology space at a Lincoln organisation. It was here that the story, of delivering happiness and connecting with colleagues wherever they were, began.
Would you believe that Colleague Box began as an internal project to connect and engage remote workers and that it was a request from our friends at Lincoln City Football which propelled our service into the company it is today!
Here’s a brief timeline of our journey:
2020
When the pandemic hit in March, Neil Everatt former Selenity CEO – tasked me and my husband Natalie and Adam Bamford (Selenity colleagues) with the goal of creating personalised letterbox-friendly gifts for our then-current colleagues. The aim was to spread positivity to the teams working remotely and those on furlough.
Shortly after the launch, and due to a flurry of social media from very happy recipients, Lincoln City FC asked if Colleague Box could create personalised gifts for their team. We were thrilled to share our passion for delivering happiness, connecting people and ultimately putting smiles on people's faces. It was this partnership that formed the springboard for the multi-award-winning company that Colleague Box is today.
2021
A year later we had moved into our second (larger) premises, won multiple awards, and exceeded 1 million turnover, with former Selenity colleague, Lincoln-based Chrissy Law joining us full-time as marketing director. A truly Lincoln-Derby company!
2022
Our collection has dramatically increased to include 80+ gifts, with services such as fresh flowers, freshly baked goods, and subscription services, with over 180,000 boxes delivered to-date. We're due to launch an on-site experiential gifting service in September, with a custom build horse trailer underway, and we're excited to take Colleague Box on the road. When the opportunity came to be a partner of the club, we knew this was a great move for Colleague Box. It’s really important for us to stay connected to Lincoln, and whilst many people know us as Derby company, we like to think it’s a case of:

We’re looking forward to sharing the experience at the Lincoln City FC box with clients, suppliers, and colleagues over the football season.
