Candlemad

Hi, I'm Rachael... and I have an obsession with buying candles and wax melts hence the name "Candle-Mad"!

Born and raised in Derbyshire, I live with my husband (John) son (Alfie) and 2 cockapoos (Sophie and Bonnie)
I like to have fun and not take life too seriously in fact my husband would say "I am a little mad"
My background is in retail, sales and accounts however I have always wanted to explore my design and creativity side.

Since turning 40 and feeling unfulfilled in my career I decided it was time to focus on my passions and build a business doing something I love... along came lockdown and this was the perfect time to start up Candle-Mad.
I hand make all of my candles and wax melts in my shop in Belper, Derbyshire, where I try to create memories through fragrance.

I am passionate about creating the best quality products that are as natural as possible and only use ingredients that are safe to the environment as well as recyclable and made from recycled packaging.
